To pull off this massive endeavor simply by involving the board and the small core of people who commonly help with the club activities will just be impossible. We need help in many areas. Please consider working with your neighbors and making new friends by investing some precious hours prior to, or during this event. The team needs any help that you might provide.
While this is a new event, we have identified a number of ways that members of the community can contribute. Some can be handled by a small team of young people, and other efforts can be supported by family members working together. You need not be members of the club, just members of the community who are anxious to make this summer event successful. Some of your help may be determining what these tasks ARE!
The areas where we have identified help needed initially include:
- Volunteer check in
- Set Up
- Event signage (prior to event)
- Race Checkin
- Race to the Rock
- Parade of Floats
- Parking and Food Truck attendants
- Lifeguard duty
- Lodge and Lake Ambassadors
- Clean Up
- Other help
The goal of FLOATFEST is to bring our community together for a single day to celebrate the good work of those who came before us. Our Beaver Lake founders, who knew the importance of gathering community, helping a neighbor in need, and protecting our fragile lake environment for future generations to come, would expect no less.
If you can help with any of this, or something that may come to mind, please contact us through the link following. Let us know who you and your helpers are, two ways to contact you (phone and email), and how you want to contribute.
Thank you from the Beaver Lake Community Club!
