The Beaver Lake FLOATFEST celebration is for those who live on Beaver Lake and in the surrounding watershed. The half-day event will take place at Beaver Lake Park and on the water adjacent to the park to celebrate our club’s 70-continuous-years on the Plateau. Please come and bring your family!
The event will include:
- Opening Ceremonies begin with host Chris Cashman beginning at 2pm.
- Races “to the rock and back”, for SUPs and kayaks, will start shortly thereafter.
- A floating parade begins at 4pm. Judging and prizes will be awarded for floats and costumes.
- Music by Mara and the Charm begins at 6pm. The band will be floating on the lake!
In addition, we’re creating The Beaver Lake Story, a video features rare photos from the turn of the 20th century and a unique look into bustling resorts that thrived on our lake. The video will be shown at The Lodge at Beaver Lake Park.
Feel free to bring your picnic baskets, but we will also have food trucks available for a quick bite.
Volunteers are Needed:
Here’s a great way to get to know your neighbors and have some fun! Anyone who is lucky enough to live around our lake, knows what a special place this is. But here’s the deal, in a time when so many people feel less connected–we have a rare chance here at Beaver Lake to lean into something better. To remember what it means to show up for each other, to laugh together, to lend a paddle or pass a plate of cookies. Those former lake residents who came together back in 1955, knew the importance of gathering as a community.
FLOATFEST is more than a celebration — it’s an invitation to connect.
We need help with numerous fun activities, such as the Floating Parade, the Race to the Rock, SUP Lake Ambassadors, Lifeguards, Set Up & Clean Up, Marketing & Outreach, General Help and more.
