The Beaver Lake Community Club was founded in 1955 as a way for neighbors in this small community to become acquainted, and to foster a spirit of neighborliness and good will. Early activities included organizing the annual Beaver Lake Regatta. As our community has grown, we have sponsored other activities such as the annual Holiday Party and the Easter Egg Hunt.

Our organization has also been active in environmental and community causes. The BLCC was instrumental in lobbying to have power boats banned on Beaver Lake, and as a result our lake has been quiet and peaceful since the early 1980's. In 1995 the BLCC was instrumental in having the Beaver Lake Management District created whereby the residents in the watershed area voted to create a special tax that contributes to lake water quality monitoring and testing to ensure that water quality standards are met. The BLCC was also the organizer of the Beaver Lake Triathlon, an event that was held annually from 1993 to 2013.

On behalf of the Beaver Lake Community Club, we would like to thank everyone for their support for the BLT the past 20 years.
We have really enjoyed being a part of the triathlon world.
We'd like to give a special shout-out to the people who have made our event possible including:
Our Sponsors, AA Sports, Pemrose Photography and all of the race directors and volunteers in our community.
After two great decades, we will no longer be putting on this event.
Good luck with your athletic endeavors!

The BLCC is also active on the political front in an effort the ensure that our little treasure and its unique character will be preserved for future generations to enjoy. We are actively lobbying to preserve the rustic nature of Beaver Lake Dr. SE and keep this road safe for our children, hikers, and motorists. More information is available here "Reject the Connect".
